 University of California, Merced, Campus Purchasing has been awarded the prestigious 17th Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award (AEP) for 2012 from the National Purchasing Institute (NPI). The award recognizes organizational excellence in procurement by measuring innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership attributes of the procurement function. AEP awardees obtain a high score on a rating of standardized criteria. For 2012 the University of California Merced is 1 of only 17 higher education institutions in the nation to receive the award.
